Hair Restoration For Women

I have been looking at hair loss treatments for several months and I have put together a lot of information on how to get hair growing again. As I said in the last post, I am mostly interested in finding out what works for women when it comes to regrowing hair. My mother has been losing her hair for a few years now and it is starting to get pretty thin. She even has some patches that are almost bald but not quite. I have taken it as a goal to find out what works and what doesn't so I can advise my Mom. She really hates the fact that she is having hair loss because it makes her feel old.
I tried to get her to buy a wig but she has something against them. For some reason she will not use and artificial hair piece as a way to cover up her hair loss. She grew up in a time when only snooty women wore wigs and she is not about to get one now.
